Scooby has been with the RSPCA for 18 months, making this his second Christmas in kennel.
Christmas is just days away but there are still dogs across the country who are hoping for a forever home in time for the festive season.
Staff at RSPCA's Lancashire East Branch have written letters to Father Christmas to share the heartbreaking story of Scooby in the hope of attracting the attention of a potential owner. The two-year-old lurcher has been with the RSPCA for 18 months or 500 days, making this his second Christmas in kennels.
