GIFTS IN WILLS

Leave a gift in your will

As a life-long animal lover, there’s no better way to show you care than by leaving a legacy to the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch so we can continue helping local animals.

Five easy steps to making a Will

  1. Add up the estimated value of your estate (that’s everything you’ve saved and own). Make a list of people and organisations you’d like to leave money, property or possessions to.

  2. Appoint one or more executors (up to four) to carry out the terms of your Will. This can be a relative, friend or legal adviser.

  3. Visit a legal adviser to draw up or update your Will. If you don’t have one, you can find one through the Law Society or STEP

  4. If you’re including a gift to the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch we’ve included some suggested wording in the “Making a gift to the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch” section below.

  5. Keep your Will in a safe place and tell someone you trust where it is. It’s also important to make a copy of your Will for your own records. Your legal adviser may be able to store your original Will.

Making a gift to the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch

Every branch of the RSPCA is a separately registered charity and so to ensure your kind and generous gift reaches the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch to help support its work helping rehabilitate and rehome animals rescued by the RSPCA please include the following wording in your Will:

I give the sum of £ ………………..  (or specify percentage of estate) to the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch (Registered Charity Number: 232253) of Nearer Holker House Farm, Enfield Road, Altham, Accrington BB5 6NN for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.

If you choose to remember the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch in your Will, thank you.  Gifts in Wills make up the majority of the funds we rely on to continue our important work with animals.
