Meet our wonderful girl Missy! She is a 6 year old crossbreed. Missy is a big softy and loves nothing more than a cuddle and a comfy sofa to relax on. She can take some time to form bonds with new people, however, once she is comfortable with you, you will be friends for life. She has had a difficult start to life so can find novel things worrying, but her confidence is growing everyday. She can be worried around doorways but we are slowing building her confidence coming through them with her favourite treats (CHEESE!). Missy has previously lived in a foster home where she loved playing with her soft toys. She is house trained, but may need some refresher training upon adoption. Once confident she is a very playful dog, although, she can sometimes get over excited and mouthy. She will need continued training for this. Missy can struggle with her hearing, so she is learning sign language cues, this will need continuing in the home. Due to her nervousness, a home with walks in quiet areas and few visitors in the home would be best. Due to her mouthing, she will not be suitable to live with children. Missy thrives in the presence of small dogs (terrier size and smaller) but can become overwhelmed when larger dogs start to play. For this reason, she may be suitable to live with another smaller dog, but not larger dogs. She will need a quiet and patient home who will help continue to develop her confidence! She does have some separation anxiety so someone who is at home most of the time would be best. Missy is a lovely dog who deserves nothing more than a loving family! Missy does have some medical issues that can be discussed upon application.
